Hello, my name is Farida Visram. I am a Certified Nutritional Practioner (CNP) and would like to welcome you to Pathways Holistic Nutrition. 

First off, I wish to applaud you. As patrons of BlossomPure Organic, you have already taken valuable and meaningful steps towards awareness and consciousness. By prioritizing the well-being of the animals you consume, and sourcing foods that are produced, grown, and manufactured thoughtfully and responsibly, you have chosen value in the widest sense of the word. Your efforts go a long way towards raising awareness that our health as human beings and those we love is deeply intertwined with all of creation and the entire web of life; that your well-being is connected to the well-being of the soil, the plants, the animals, the oceans, the air you breathe, and the water you drink. Nothing in nature exists in a vacuum. All life exists in a delicate balance that needs to be understood, appreciated, and maintained. 

Taking this awareness a step further, my goal is to assist you to achieve your health goals. 

Whether you wish to optimize your energy and vitality, take a preventative approach, address the root causes of symptoms that have not been addressed to your satisfaction, or enhance existing care, my goal is to broaden and deepen the scope of inquiry into additional factors that may have not been previously considered.

The focus of my practice is to support blood sugar balance, immune, digestive, and cardiovascular health as well as address other broader concerns that may be impacting your quality of life such as low energy or poor sleep quality. 

You are unique in your genetic vulnerabilities, dietary preferences, social, cultural and environmental influences, and there is no one-size-fits-all diet or approach. In our first 90-minute session, therefore, we take a foundational look at:

  • Your health and family history 
  • The medications and supplements you take
  • Your food choices and their effect on your biochemistry
  • The type of work you do
  • Your physical activity, energy, mental focus, and sleep quality
  • Chemicals and toxins you are or have previously been exposed to
  • How you respond to and process those aspects of your life you find challenging

At the end of this session, I may recommend additional tests to help clarify the sources of your concerns. Where necessary or helpful, I may also recommend the services of other trusted health practitioners in my network to support our joint efforts. It may therefore take a few sessions before a meaningful plan to achieve your goals can be mapped out.

Having walked in your shoes with health challenges of my own, I recognize that the thought of change, or the belief that you will need to give up something which you enjoy can be daunting. However, my own experience has led me to believe that the possibilities for change are endless. When you consciously elect to move in a direction that is important to you and embrace the process, you will likely find, as I did, that new pathways, ideas, insights, and opportunities spontaneously emerge that support your progress with much greater ease than you previously thought possible.

As your awareness grows – from medicinal foods, herbs, and key nutritional supplements that nourish your unique constitution - to thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours that support your life goals, my aim is to educate, encourage, and guide you to make conscious and meaningful choices that support your health and vitality.
